PROYECTOR Y EL ASUNTO URBANO
ARCO NORTE es una red colectiva de producción cultural que junta a espacios independientes dedicados a la promoción, producción y exhibición de arte contemporáneo y arquitectura, ubicados en la zona norte de la Ciudad de México buscando promover la descentralización de la cultura, y explorar distintas partes de la ciudad a través de la arquitectura y las artes visuales.
El norte es una de las porciones más grandes, pobladas y diversas de la ciudad. Paradójicamente, su vasta extensión lo hace una idea abstracta, un espacio periférico. Sin embargo, el norte y sus complejidades locacionales, representan otra faceta de la producción cultural de la ciudad en donde espacios independientes y los fenómenos locales conforman un territorio desconocido de la producción cultural urbana.
Estos espacios independientes, operan voluntariamente en los márgenes y surgen como iniciativas individuales, espacios no institucionalizados: Galerías que son casas, departamentos en multifamiliares convertidos en espacios de encuentro, fábricas creativas, almacenes vueltos residencias, escuelas vueltas estudios, y talleres industriales que ahora son de artes y oficios.
Estos espacios funcionan como epicentros de su radio de influencia, y también de resguardo para prácticas inclusivas basadas en la colaboración. Arco Norte, surge como una iniciativa que busca no sólo visibilizar el ingente trabajo que se produce en los márgenes, sino identificar sus prácticas entre sí, para establecer vínculos, relaciones e intercambios creativos desde la identidad colectiva, y el reconocimiento de un lugar que se inventa mientras se revela.
CIRCUITS
The second edition of Arco Norte consists of three circuits featuring nine participating spaces and more than 60 artists and architects. During the three weeks from July 24 to August 8, visitors can explore the venues and exhibitions and take part in the events held each weekend.

THE SALON OF ART AND THE CITY
The Salon of Art and the City is an initiative of El Asunto Urbano in collaboration with Proyector, which seeks to create a bridge between contemporary art, architecture and urbanism. Through the exhibition of works and projects, architects develop from the languages of the visual arts, and contemporary artists dialogue or solve works based on architectural and urban themes and supports.
For its third edition, the Salon expands to other sites, creating exchanges between spaces and promoting dialogue between architecture and the visual arts, continuing with its founding drive to create new collaborative networks in Mexico City.
CIRCUITS
Arco Norte is comprised of 4 circuits integrated by 9 participating spaces and over 60 artists and architects. During the 4 weeks from June 21st to July 13th visitors will be able to visit the spaces, exhibitions and participate in the activations every weekend.
